Hello to Tod,
our beautiful town

Aerial shot of the town of Todmorden

Todmorden is a thriving market town sitting on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, surrounded by the stunning Pennine Hills. You’ll find friendly people from all walks of life living here, whether we were born here or moved here – we’re united by our love of Tod.

Integrate Todmorden is a proud and diverse community group made up of people who care passionately about Tod. We organise all kinds of events, big and small, and work with other local groups to celebrate all that is great about Tod and discuss any issues we face.

The town’s watchword is kindness and you only have to take a stroll through the market on a rainy day to see there’s always someone ready to help out or up for a laugh. It’s this spirit of Todmorden kindness which also drives our work.

Whether we're cleaning our streets of litter, fixing toys, hosting a community Iftar, organising an interfaith ramblers walk or providing career counselling – we bring people of all faiths and backgrounds together to make Todmorden a better and friendlier place for everyone.

How we started

Integrate Todmorden was set up in 2005 to provide activities for young Muslims living in Todmorden. In 2010, we broadened our work to help and support everyone living in Todmorden. We might come from different backgrounds, but we're one inspiring community. We are Tod!

We’re lucky to have Nadeem Mir QPM as our chairman and the driving force behind the group.

Nadeem is a local boy who grew up in Todmorden. He’s also a distinguished former police officer. During his 30-year career in the Greater Manchester Police he gained a wealth of experience in many areas of policing, including drug crime, child sexual exploitation and community cohesion. Nadeem retired as a chief inspector in 2015. He was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished services to policing.

Nadeem’s goal is to grow the group and make Todmorden a model community of unity and diversity for the rest of the UK to follow.
